Storage

Okra should be stored dry in a paper bag or breathable container in the refrigerator's vegetable drawer, away from moisture and direct sunlight. Avoid washing okra until you're ready to use it, as excess moisture can promote spoilage. Okra can also be blanched and frozen for longer storage, up to six months in a freezer-safe container or bag.
